Description: 12+ Fertile Chicken Hatching Eggs Bantam Project This listing is for a dozen (12) hatching eggs, with some extras added in when possible. The Bantam group is carefully put together in a several year long project. Photos illustrate some of our birds. They are bred out of several carefully selected breeds and your hatch will not produce any purebred bird, given that this is our house project. If you like, there is the option to place silkie based eggs laid by our purebred silkie hens, however the resulting chicks will not likely be 100% silkie. Our chickens are docile of temperament, hybrids (mixed breeds) are healthier and more disease resistant (we have been breeding for greater genetic health on our homestead, feel free to PM if interested to learn more). They have some periods of broodiness and if allowed, make good sitters, moms. Many of our layers are good layers through winter, with anywhere between 200-250 eggs/year averages. They lay off white, pink eggs in standard egg sizes (in photo you can see the eggs compared next to a standard sized leghorn egg - the white egg). We do have some birds within the group with blue egg genes, so your hatched birds may produce a new colored egg, rather than the pink/off-white. Anyone looking to have comparable eggs to collect in yield, but prefer operating on a smaller footage and needing less feed for the output. Eggs will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail, or UPS.
