Description: Real Photo Postcard151st Field Artillery Returning HomeParade Marching through Triumphal Arch6th & Wabasha StreetsSaint Paul, Minnesota An extraordinarily scarce postcard showing an aerial view of the troops of the 151st Field Artillery marching through the triumphal arch at 6th and Wabasha Streets in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This photo was taken on May 8, 1919 during the parade...likely taken from a building to get this great image. The crowd is packed and there are even people seated on a building under construction celebrating the 151st arriving home. The card has handwriting on the back in pencil explaining the 151st having just arrived home from France and also denotes the location of 6th and Wabasha. The card has a cancellation from Saint Paul, Minnesota on May 10, 1919. SIZE: Standard (5.5" by 3.5") CONDITION: POOR condition with several notable issues. The card has worn corners, creasing and cracking throughout, and staple holes near the top margin. This is a vintage postcard that may show wear from handling, age, and storage. Please view scans for an accurate depiction of condition. The postcard will be placed in a sleeve and toploader, mailed in a box via USPS Ground Advantage.
