Description: A tough New Jersey token seldom seen and almost never this nice. Listed by Rulau as his HT-201 it is the HOWELL WORKS GARDEN large cent size copper token from Allaire New Jersey. I have had this token for many years and just found it as I had misplaced it. It had been in the Donald G Patrick collection and was certified as AU details cleaned. (old tag included) It doesn't look cleaned to me unless it refers to a few tiny hard to see hairlines on the obverse. The very well struck reverse has the full word TOKEN which is almost never the case when one of these is found. A high grade hard to find token for an advanced collection. A keeper. See the scans.
