Description: This was in my wife's families garage. Her dad worked at the GM assembly plant in Janesville, as well as her brother, but this would date back about to when her dad started working there. But she's not sure if where it came from. This is the type of thing I'd rather have the buyer decide. To me it looks like some of the marks in the plastic could be ancient smashed bugs, so maybe it was used at some point. Her dad never really messed with cars, so it's not like it came off a car being restored, so it's a bit of a mystery. If someone wants a decent shape survivor/original GM part, not a repop, here's your part.I BELIEVE, just based on checking online, that this is correct for 1955 through 1958 Chevrolet, full size, (I guess meaning all except Corvette), for the trunk lid. I was thinking only wagons, but it seems all the full size (wagon or not) had the scallop at the bottom for opening the trunk. But please, if you're not sure, research it or ask for dimensions.
