Description: A partial set lot of 238 different Topps 1972 Football Cards (representing 90% of the 263 cards in series 1 and 2 of the set). High value cards in the lot include HOFers Roger Staubach (rookie), Terry Bradshaw, Gayle Sayers, Johnny Unitas, Joe Namath, Joe Greene and Dick Butkus, along with rookie cards of Archie Manning, Jim Plunkett, John Riggins, and Ted Hendricks. Cards feature 48 Hall of Fame members. Series 1 and 2 high-value cards not included in the lot - #122 Roger Staubach "in Action" and #160 OJ Simpson. Photos are included showing the card stack, the fronts and back of the Staubach, Namath, Sayers and Bradshaw cards, the front sides of 42 other HOFers, Notables and key Rookie cards, and a list of the 25 series 1&2 cards not included in the lot. The two checklists are unmarked. Card condition is mixed and primarily includes cards ranging from VG-EX-4 to NM-7 (there are 12 cards that I would grade less than VG-EX-4). I have graded no card above NM-7 though I believe some could grade as NM-MT-8. IMO, condition on average is between EX and EX-MT. Cards not included: 1, 7, 8, 9, 19, 29, 40, 43, 80, 119, 122 (Staubach), 124, 126, 127, 129, 131, 132, 159, 160 (Simpson), 205, 216, 235, 252, 258, and 262.
