Description: 2 Hawkes VERNAY Luxury Crystal Wine Glasses Pair Set Two striking little luxury wine glasses by Hawkes, with a geometric contemporary cut of rectangular horizontals and verticals on a straight-sided V-shaped bowl, with a ring of oval lenses near the rim. The stem is a series of 3 sets of stacked disks. They are very bright, clear, weighty crystal. The Hawkes imprimatur is etched on the foot. The name refers to Domaine Georges Vernay, (and I'm not assuming you don't already know this) a renowned winery in the Rhone Valley, famous for subtle wines produced only from 30 year old varietal vines that demand cultivation on steep, south-facing craggy terraces and granite soils. These glasses are quite small, only 4 3/4 inches tall; maybe the wine intended to be savored from them is so very good, you only need a little. Alas, I can only guess. Excellent pre-owned condition, no chips or cracks. Clean, hand washed and ready to use or display. Shipped quickly and packed with great care. They are there to help show vintage glassware and china can be repurposed, and displayed beautifully in many ways! Because of the practical difficulty of packing and shipping fragile glass items, we do not accept returns. Review all information carefully so you are sure of your purchase. We treat all of our customers with courtesy and respect; we welcome any contact if you feel your purchase has not lived up to your expectations. Because we love vintage items, we pack glassware with the utmost of care, with multiple layers of bubble wrap, additional padding, and Fragile stickers. Breakage has been very, very rare, less than 1% of our shipments. However, we can't prevent rough handling, machine damage, or misdirection once the shipping service has it in their hands. Packages are insured for their sold price, excluding shipping costs, and all refunds due to breakage will be divided by the number of items in the package (i.e. no full refunds for one item broken out of a set.) Absolutely let us know if this happens! We will need photos of the broken item(s), packing and packaging before any insurance claim or refund. Note: we don't control shipping costs. Shipping is determined by weight, size, and how many zones you are away from our MI location. We do not charge handling fees.
