While solenoid valves require constant power to hold position, ball valves do not have this large power requirement. This ball valve is bidirectional, allowing for flow in both directions without issue. The actuator is IP67 rated, the NEMA 4 equivalent, making this valve acceptable for outdoor use. While splash resistant, the valve should not be submerged in water.
