The slim lid is vented depending on your goals for moisture retention or reducing. The deep lid suitable for roasting taller items, poultry, Crown Roasts, and formed to direct moisture to drip back onto the bird. A few scuffs on the shiny surfaces, and some very light signs of previous cooking in bottom and beneath.
