Description: This book is really cool. It's essentially a giant quiz that teaches you chess, with the beginning questions very simple in order to teach you how the book works. Each question builds on the previous in a way that eventually will teach you chess inside and out. This copy includes the original answer shield that allows you to cover up the answers as you work and slide it down to see results. The left side of the page is upside down, and you don't do those sides until you complete the right side pages. This prevents you from accidentally seeing answers in advance. Such an interesting and analytical book, it's worth owning simply for exploring the teaching technique. The book's condition is shown in pictures, it's far from perfect but very readable. There's some staining and creases but nothing that really gets in the way of enjoying the book. For the chess enthusiast, A Programmed Introduction to The Game of Chess is an excellent addition to your collection. This vintage paperback book, written by M. W. Sullivan and published by McGraw-Hill in 1963, offers a interesting way to teach and learn chess.
