The primary evil of abortion (as we shall see from Scripture) is its direct attack upon God Himself. What we need is a clear and comprehensive understanding of God’s word on this subject. Our personal feelings, opinions, and preferences must be subjugated to the clarity of a “thus saith the Lord.” Therefore, let’s begin by considering the shortest of the commandments, the sixth. “Thou shalt not kill” [literally, thou shalt not commit murder] (Exodus 20:13).
