Description: This stunning ABP (American Brilliant Period) cut glass bowl features the beloved "Love Birds" (Parrots) pattern. This bowl is cut in the very rare Wisteria pattern better known as "Love Birds". The pattern is rated by Pearson as 1.1 the first 1 being the rarest-highest category of rarity and the second 1 for being the highest category of quality in quality and price range. The top edge of the bowl has a wide band with an amazing sharp cutting pattern. One side of the bowl is cut with a pair of "Love Birds", adorable Parrots perched on a leaf covered branch and the other side is cut with wisteria branches , leaves and flowers. The engraved Love Birds and Wisteria flowers are concave and have a frosted appearance.The Libbey Glass company has operated out of Toledo, Ohio since 1884. Libbey was one of the foremost American producers of high quality, richly cut glass during the American Brilliant Period.In original antique condition, movement marks to bottom, some light utensil marks inside and a couple of flakes to rim- see pictures.
