Originally, hunters and fur traders used it to weigh hides, but it was later used to weigh cotton bales and other products. The small hook holds up to 30 kilos and the large hook holds up to 150 kgs.It was a lightweight, yet sturdy favorite of Buffalo Hunters, Trappers, Trading Posts, and anyone else needing a compact scale.
