Description: This rustic, likely Victorian era 37” bone/horn walking cane may be very old, possibly from the 1800s. Last owner/user was born in Germany, immigrated to USA in the 1800s, and was deceased in the 1930s, so this walking stick is certainly at the very least that old. Please review the photos carefully, as this antique cane shows significant signs of pest deterioration, most especially near the tip. There is at least one stacked ring that has completely disintegrated (near tip, shown in photo). As is. I want to clean this, but I will leave that to the collector, as I don’t want to cause any harm. I would most prefer local pickup for this if possible, as I believe shipping has the potential to accelerate problems for such an antique. I wish I knew more. The nuance of color is eye-catching and truly a marvel to behold. Please feel free to message me with any information or questions. Thank you for your interest!
