Description: AntiqueWappler Universal Cautery Transformerfor Direct and A/C Currentwith original catalog 1924 This is a 100 year old unit that was designed to cauterize bleeding vessels during surgery. Item includes the transformer in its wooden box - the power cord, the cautery handle with it's cord and 5 different cautery tips as well as an original Wappler product catalog. I think there may have been a separate unit that connected this transformer to the handle/wand for use. I do not have it. This unit is untested sold as is. Unit measures approximately 8 1/4 inches side6 1/4 inches deep and 8 inches tall not including the handle and weighs nearly 10.5 pounds. The unit appears to be serialized #14555 Catalog measures 6 x 9 inches before opening. All medical devices are sold as collectibles and are not intended for use.
