Description: Comitti Of London wooden case Pendulum Wall Clock, partially working. ⚠️We have listed this for Spares or Repair as it requires some attention from an expert! The clock is in excellent cosmetic condition. There are a couple of small scuff marks/chips on some of the edges (as seen in the photographs provided). Other than these, there don't appear to be any noticeable damages. The clock can be wound and made to chime, but we have been unable to maintain the momentum of the pendulum, meaning that we could not get the clock to keep ticking or to keep time. The chimes also don't always seem to correspond with the position of the hands on the clock face. It can be the case that they chime early or the wrong number of times. Despite this, the chime is loud and clear, and the mechanism behind it appears to run smoothly. There is a hidden sliding compartment at the base of the clock, presumably for storing the keys for winding. The door to the case is held in place by two latches. However, only the lower one fits comfortably over the screw it attatches to. The top latch appears to be slightly misaligned, as it is not the correct distance from the screw for the two to interlock.
