Description: New with Box, leather case & instruction paper. The Ebony 35 is a compact 828 roll film camera made in 1957 by the Hoei Industrial company in Japan. It has two shutter speeds and two apertures (f11 and f16). There is some wear on the base of the tripod mount, plus a few minor cosmetic marks from light use. Despite the name, the Ebony 35 was actually made to take 828 roll film, not 35mm. Now, to be fair, 828 is the is the same width as 35mm- but it was on a tiny spool with backing paper, like 120 for elves. The Ebony 35 de Luxe is an embellished version of the Ebony 35 thanks to a metal plate on the front and around the viewfinder. The speed selector (I and B) and the diaphragms are in the form of sliders instead of buttons. Finally, the maximum aperture is brighter (8 instead of 11).
