At first glance you might not pick off the "EXPERIMENTAL" design difference in this bat, but close inspection shows a handle that is not round like a typical bat. The bat handle, above the knob, was factory shaped into a boxed or rectangular grip, (but nor square). Pictures 11 and 12 show the handle in one position and another rotated 90 degrees. Clearly the bat handle is not round, but thinner on one angle, and wider when turned 90 degrees... UNIQUE. This is a genuine rarity for the bat collector who has to have it all. I've been a serious dealer/collector of Phillies game used uniforms and equipment for over 40 years. I've bought and sold nearly 1000 Phillies bats, yet this is the first EXPERIMENTAL H&H L/S I've ever had.
