Description: Gillette Gold Aristocrat Razor 1946-1947, with original Blade Holder & Case The Razor: The razor is almost in perfect condition, and has never been used. The TTO feature operates smoothly. On the underside it is marked REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. MADE IN U.S.A. And the name GILLETTE is contained in a diamond. The inside is stamped PAT. NOS. IN PACKAGE. On a scale of 1-10 I give the blade holder an 8. The Box: The box is about 3 1/2" x 2" x 1 1/2" and is covered in a leather-like material that Gillette described as simulated pigskin. The inside of the case is red velvet on the bottom and a white woven material on the top. The box does have signs of aging both inside and outside. There is fading of the white color and stains along the white edges inside the box, due probably to moisture or humidity. The red velvet color inside and outside the box is dull, and the condition of the box, though the box is functionally fine, can be fairly described as "OK." On a scale of 1-10, I give the box a 3.
