Description: Hi, These are the #28037 Southern Pacific 2-8-0 Diecast Consolidation Steam Engine and Tender with Signal Sounds that Lionel made a few years ago. Original Boxes. Our Opinion is that they are generally in Mint Condition. All Original in our Opinion. Please see video. Train runs and sounds great for whistle and Bell, but no chugs. This is a MORE AND MORE common problem on this generation of trains. I believe it may be due to a timing mechanism related to the sounds and smoke timing, but could be something else. It may be a simple fix, but I do not know, so please realize the train sounds are only what you hear in video.Otherwise, this train is mint and until I tested it there were no markings on wheel. This is a great opportunity to get this really great looking and running train at a low price. Units were TESTED with conventional transformer and performed great forward, reverse, lights, sounds ONLY AS YOU HEAR ON VIDEO and I did not test for smoke once I heard sounds. They might be related.
