Produced in versions with a unique Krasnogorsk mount and M42x1 mount (between the flange 45.5 mm). The lens consists of 16 lenses, of which four make up the main lens, and 12 lenses, grouped into five components, are elements of the variable zoom and focus system (see diagram). Changing the focal length is carried out by moving components 2 and 4, and 3 and 5 serve to correct violations of the parallelism of the beam of light rays. The front positive component 1 focuses the lens at finite distances from infinity to 1 m; it is manually controlled separately.The Meteor-5-1 lens is designed for a frame size of 7.45x10.05mm, rear focal length, i.e. the distance from the rear lens to the light receiver - film or matrix - is about 15mm, it will NOT fit a camera on a DSLR !!!. The diameter of the formed image when focusing on infinity and a focal length of 17mm is about 15mm, with a focal length of 69mm about 18mm.
