Description: Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue 1959 US Original/First Pressing 6 Eye Deep Groove OOP (Out Of Print) Factory Sealed (Photos #14 and 15) Vinyl/LP containing 5 tracks (Photo #5) with a full playing time of 45:44. The album has been highly regarded by many critics as Miles Davis’ Masterpiece, as the greatest jazz album ever recorded and one of the best albums of all time! It was one of fifty recordings chosen in 2002 by the Library of Congress for the inaugural year of the National Recording Registry and in 2003, it was ranked number 12 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. In 2019, Kind of Blue was Certified 5x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipments of at least five million copies in the United States. Recorded on March 2 & April 22, 1959. Released on August 17, 1959. This pressing variant: - Labels are 6-eye Columbia mono with "Made in U. S. A." printed at bottom rim (Photos #15, 13 and 10). - The back cover incorrectly lists the track order as "Flamenco Sketches" (B1) and "All Blues" (B2). The B side label lists the tracks in the CORRECT order (Photo #13): "All Blues" (B1) followed by "Flamenco Sketches" (B2). On front cover, it reads: 'Adderly' (Photo #19) instead of 'Adderley'. Same mistake on back cover (Photo #2) but still not classified a Misprint as it has to be incorrect both on the covers and labels to be such. - On the labels, the album title is in larger and thicker all caps type on two lines above the artist name which is in smaller all caps type - both above the spindle hole (Photos #10, 13 and 15). - A single "- M. Davis -" songwriting credit is printed underneath the track listing on both labels (Photos #15 and 13). - The back cover has a "4" printed at the lower right back corner (Photo #20), which denotes fabrication by Imperial Packing Co., Inc., Indianapolis IN. Columbia releases of this 1959 period came with either factory inner sleeve or circular plastic inner sleeve (Photos #8, 9, 11 and 12). Condition is "New" (Vinyl/LP). Album cover conservatively graded VG+ due only to a small, partial back left bottom section tear (Photos #17, 4 and 23). Shipped with USPS Media Mail. Payment is due within 5-7 days from the purchase date. Thanks for stopping by. The vinyl has the following Matrix / Runout informations: Matrix / Runout - Side 1 label: X"LP" 47324 (Photos #10 and 15) Matrix / Runout - Side 2 label: X"LP" 47325 (Photo #13) Matrix / Runout - Runout, Side 1 : XLP-47324-1BK Matrix / Runout - Runout, Side 2 : XLP-47324-1BD Other - Fabricator code, jacket back bottom right: 4 (Photo #20)
