The car is from a shrink wrapped set of 4 tank cars. Only 150 of each car were produced. This car is number 21 of the Joint Line Series and NSC special run number 03-101. In 1918 the USRA combined the tracks between Denver and Pueblo to form the Joint Line. "Larkspur" is the sixth in a series honoring the trains and stations of the Joint Line. Larkspur located near Perry Park was probably named for the wildflowers of the same name. The tank car is a prototypical TK-S diesel fuel tank car manufactured in 1980 by Trinity Industries. The car is painted black with white printing and a gray diesel fuel band on the right end with black printing. The car has end printing with prototypical car data. The printing was accurately prepared following information obtained from BNSF. A group of these were spotted in 2003 still sporting the original ATSF lettering.
