Description: The Rosary of the Seven Sorrows of Mary The Seven Sorrows Rosary has 7 "decades" of 7 Hail Mary beads on which you meditate upon seven particular sorrows in the life of Mary. This particular "multi-beaded" rosary was originally created by my sister many years ago. She chose different beads that had special meaning for each of the Seven Sorrows. She used blue Czech glass for the Prophecy of Simeon to represent the Baby Boy Jesus, for example; Job's Tears for the tears she shed when Mary met Jesus as he carried His Cross; Picture Jasper for the Flight into Egypt symbolizing the rocky & sandy road into the desert. We include a card which explains the meanings of the different beads. For this rosary the 1/2" oval silver-toned medals and centerpiece have a full color picture on both sides of each Sorrow. At the beginning is a larger oval medal with a full color picture of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows. All the medals were made in Italy. The rosary itself was handmade by me in our home in the USA. The beads are all 8 mm. The Seven Sorrows beads are Picture Jasper, Job's Tears, and faceted Czech glass in dark aqua blue, ruby red, amethyst purple, black and a ruby/crystal bi-color. The three beads in the beginning section are Czech aurora borealis crystal.The Rosary is about 24 1/2" long and has a circular section that is about 40" around.
