Description: This is a beautiful pair of vintage Middle Eastern pierced brass and colorful glass hanging light fixtures. I am uncertain as to how old they are, but they definitely have good age. From the top of the hook down to the bottom piece of decoration, they each measure 35 inches tall (89 cm). The lanterns themselves measure approximately 16 inches tall x approximately 8 inches wide (40 cm x 20 cm). I have seen some similar examples of these, but they are not wired. I don’t know if these were wired when they were originally made, or if someone did it afterwards. They look beautiful when they are not lit up, but when they are actually lit, they just look incredible! Some people call these Ottoman, Syrian, Turkish, Moroccan or Persian. A few of the pieces of glass have scattered loss to the color. On one of them, you can see this on the green and blue pieces, but there are a few other small areas where this happens. It’s probably not that big a deal since they look so good overall. The rest of the lanterns are in very good condition with no missing pieces. They look like they were wired around the 1950s or 1960s and they are both working. They have newer bulbs inside them. There are no on/off switches though. Still, I always recommend rewiring any vintage lighting. Together they weigh approximately 6 lbs. 8 oz. (2.9 kg).
