Description: Original sling for the Bavarian Werder "Lightening" M.1869 rifle. The sling is dark brown leather and has leather buttons and adjustment holed on both ends. Included in the pictures is a picture from Goetz' book on German rifles with an ordnance drawing of the rifle and sling. These slings are quite rare and this one is in good condition with supple leather and no rips or tears in the leather. A very hard to find accessory for a Werder rifle.
