Description: This Beautifully crafted Rare Bovet Fleurier Silver Pocket Watch with Chinese Duplex style movement, features a Polychrome Enamel Portrait of a Raven Haired beautiful Lady with ribbons and Roses in her hair. This beauty dons a rose embellished bodice with a sheer yoke and billowy blue satin sleeves. She is wearing a metallic shiny gold floral starburst earring and a matching shiny gold inverted half Moon broach. A black satin cape is tied around her shoulders. The enameling is Excellent and exquisite. This Antique Pocket watch has an open face, white dial with black Roman Numeral, coral gold hands and seconds hand, and second markings around the perimeter. The crystal is original without cracks or chips. The Silver case has blue linear engraving with orange and aqua enameled flowers. See photos for Silver markings which include the Britannia lion passant guardant, the number 20231, and the letter U indicating an early piece 1850 circa. and Hallmarks consistent with Bovet Fleurier. The floral engraved SILVER cuvette houses a Chinese Caliber movement. The watch has not been serviced and works erratically. These watches were never known for being accurate time pieces.
