Farrand Optical bracket for alignment scope laser collimator w/spherical adapter

Description: AMSL ID# 900-60 This listing is for a heavy duty Alignment Telescope Mounting Bracket, complete with related parts as specified below. Made by Farrand Optical, New York NY. This bracket is for use with some types of alignment telescopes as well as optical or laser collimators. The original application was for a Farrand alignment telescope. A spherical adapter is also provided for mounting optical instruments or lasers having a (A.I.A. spec. dimension) 2.2498" o.d. barrel. When determining applicability to your intended application, be sure to consider the distance of 6-7/8" between the C/L of the adjustable cup mount and the bracket location opposite the cup mount where the barrel of the instrument rests. Three knobs on the Bracket provide fine adjustment of azimuth in the horizontal axis, and also elevation as well as angle in the vertical axis. The Cup Mount provides fine adjustment of elevation, and allows a range of positioning of the 3-1/2" O.D. spherical adapter. Base of the Cup Mount has a dovetail profile for locking into place where it fits in the bracket. The base has three through holes for bolting that are most commonly used for attachment to a 3-1/2x8 female thread adapter for mounting on a Moog Quickset tripod, or Brunson or K&E optical tooling stand. The tripod/stand adapter would be a K&E 71-5144 or similar (not included). Below is a list of the Farrand components that are part of this mounting bracket assembly.
