Description: This listing is for an INCREDIBLY RARE ORIGINAL 1962 New Orleans tourist advertisement book featuring former burlesque dancer at Jack Ruby's Carousel Club, Janet "Jada" Conforto. She is featured as a performer at Madame Francine’s in the book. The book is in great shape considering it’s 60+ years of age! In 1963, Jada was well-known in the strip club world of New Orleans, but Jack Ruby wanted her talents on display in Dallas. He brought her to Dallas in July of 1963 from Carlos Marcello's Sho-Bar in New Orleans and they signed a contract. Jada was Jack Ruby's favorite stripper. She drove a pink Cadillac convertible around Dallas while not dancing in Jack Ruby's Carousel Club. She worked at the Carousel Club for three months in 1963, quitting over a dispute with Ruby three weeks before President John F. Kennedy was assassinated there. She was known to "go a little too far" on stage and Ruby had to kill the lights a few times during her acts. Jada appears in the Warren Commission Report, but only by her stage name. The Commission couldn't find her for questioning during their investigation into the assassination. It is believed by many conspiracy theorists that Jada died under mysterious circumstances as a result of her connection with Jack Ruby in that she "knew too much." ORIGINAL ITEMS PERTAINING TO JADA ARE VERY RARELY SEEN AND HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER BY JFK ASSASSINATION COLLECTORS! I HAVE ATTACHED TO THE LISTING, FOR REFERENCE ONLY, SEVERAL IMAGES OF JADA INCLUDING AN IMAGE OF AN ORIGINAL DALLAS BURLESQUE POSTER ON WHICH SHE IS FEATURED AT JACK RUBY'S CAROUSEL CLUB. Professional and secure USPS shipping is FREE! Thanks for checking out my listing!
