Description: Spectacular stick and ball magazine holder or music holder with handle for portability. Walnut tone wood. In a Victorian style with panels of intricate stick and ball (more like spokes) fretwork on each side. Really fancy. Music themed lyre or harp suggested by the cut-out in the sides. Rounded bottom. It measures 17" wide X 10 1/8" across the top X 18" tall. Very pretty in person. Good condition with some chipping to the very top edge of one side. One chipped area to a side edge of the other side. One exposed brad hole. Exposed holes on one of the four edges where the fretwork was held in place to shape (see pic 8). Some slightly messy areas of past wood staining technique.I am calling this 'Victorian style' as I am not sure of the exact age of this piece. It appears Victorian, however, the legs do not seem as delicate as they should be for that period and so it may be a later revival piece. It is definitely an old piece.
