Description: For additional photos, please visit us online at midwestsax.com! We have for sale an original lacquer Selmer Mark VI Soprano sax sn 121xxx. If you're looking for a true player's horn, this is it! Mark VI sopranos from this time period still hadn't changed much from the late 5 digit horns, so you get the benefits of a highly desirable 1960 soprano without the $10k+ price tag. In regards to the condition, the horn shows its fair share of wear and tear, but it's still very solid. There aren't any major dents, resolders, or signs of serious trauma, and the bell flare has been professionally straightened by Aaron Barnard. Cosmetically, there is obvious wear to the lacquer, and there's a number hand-etched below the Mark VI stamp, but none of this impedes the function of the instrument. The horn has not been played recently and has a mix of pads, so at a minimum, we'd recommend a visit to your favorite tech to get the horn up to speed for your preferences, and ideally, a fresh overhaul would get the most out of it. Please review the photos for details of the overall condition, and feel free to contact us if you have any questions or need additional photos. US shipping and sales only.
