Can also be used in thicker or solid walls they just do not open up behind the wall. See the pictures for installation examples. Anchor requires a 5/16" hole. Anchor will accept screws from diameter #6 to #14. The screw length should be about 1-1/2" plus the thickness of your fixture. In solid walls drill your hole at least 1-5/8" deep.
