Tom Holmes H455 Early 2000's Humbucker Pickup

Description: This is a New Old Stock Pickup. It has never been installed. I ordered two during Tom's Heyday. There is a video at the end of the photos of the other H455 I ordered along with the pickup that you will receive. Tom Holmes was the repairman at Gruhn Guitars for 15 + years. He has taken apart more original PAFs than anyone else alive. In 1971 Tom set out to recreate the Ultimate 59 version of the '59 PAF. Tom designed the original Gibson 57 PAF Reissue when they came out in the 90s and he also designed the machines that they wind them on. It was considered the best Pickup that Gibson had made since the mid 60s.. But after Gibson deviated from his design he disassociated himself from the company. Tom started his own company - Tom Holmes Company in Joelton, TN. He began to wind pickups on a winder that he designed himself. He has made pickups for Billy Gibbons, Bo Diddley, and Eddie Van Halen. To name 3. In the early 2000's I purchased two Holmes H455 Humbuckers together. The Model that I am selling is a four conductor H455. 455 multiplied by 10 - The number of windings on the pickups that were factory spec for a 59 Gibson PAF. His Humbucker covers are considered the most authentic ever produced. As you will see in the photographs they have been aged well.
