It also has an 11 point brightness setting dial. The first two or three are very small and may be difficult to see in bright conditions, but as you increase the setting, it gets brighter and brighter. It also comes with flip up lens covers to protect against scratches and damage. I do not have the manual, but recommend you download one from the internet. The battery location is in the brightness setting dial. The manual instructs you to not over tighten the battery cap. When replacing the battery, keep an eye out for the red dot appearing to determine how tight to turn the battery cap. This red dot sight currently has a fairly new battery. To turn the unit on, just turn the brightness dial from zero to the brightness that you want and turn the dial back to zero to turn the unit off.
