Please note that the pictures were taken in sunlight, hence the shadows.***********This seldom seen vintage 1967 Bulova Snorkel Devil Diver, which came from the estate of its original owner, has a naturally aged champagne "T-SWISS-T" signed dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows age-related wear. The original lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully. In my humble opinion the dial and patina could not be more pleasing. The bezel, which shows wear, the loss of its black enamel paint and ratchets bidirectionally, presents nicely with the amber lume dot complementing the dial and patina beautifully. The all stainless steel case shows honest wear and signs of oxidation. As clearly seen in the pictures the number "5" is engraved on the outside of the bottom left lug. The outside of the case back is stamped "BULOVA" and "WATERPROOF." The outer edge of the inside of the case back is stamped "STAINLESS STEEL M7 386-4 MLB" with "SWISS" stamped along the inner edge. The crystal needs to be replaced as it is chipped, gouged and scratched. The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss "BULOVA WATCH Co,""M7" and "11 ALACD" stamped automatic movement with semi-quickset date function runs strong, albeit fast, and the date wheel rolls over at 12 am. The semi-quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 22 and 24 hour marks. After recently winding the non-screwdown, signed crown 39 full revolutions the movement gained about 17 minutes by the end of its approximate 43 hour power reserve period. The crown winds smoothly. Given that the movement runs fast and considering that it has likely been several decades since it was last serviced a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended. As seen in picture 21 the number "5" is engraved on the movement, matching the engraving on the bottom left lug. This watch measures approximately 35 mm excluding the crown, approximately 38.5 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 8.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 11 mm. The lug to lug distance measures approximately 43 mm. A complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch.
