Description: Please Read Carefully: Vintage French Stronglight Model 93, 170mm Crank Arm, Square Taper- Double 52 tooth and 42 tooth Chain Rings. The Crank and Chainrings are122BCD. French-made pedal threads are English 9/16”x20 thread pitch. Be careful to note that the in the 1970’s French versions of English threads are tighter fitting than modern international thread standards, as I have learned from Sheldon Brown’s vintage essays. Use vintage French-made pedals made for 9/16x20 threads, or professional re-size threads with modern taps if necessary. Dust caps are not included. This model was used on many fine French racing bicycles in the 1970’s. This item is almost like “New Old Stock” (NOS) condition. This item shows minor scratches, nicks, & blemishes consistent with NOS parts surviving years of storage and moving. In our judgement, this has never been run on a bike; never suffered polishing aside from original manufacture; the chainring teeth appear to have never had a chain put on them, as you can see the original manufacturing casting and machining detail on the teeth. There is minor scoring on the non-drive crank arm's pedal area as if a pedal was screwed on for test fit. This is clearly visible in the photos.
