Description: Thunder eggs are a form of agate, often with inclusions of jasper, calcite, chalcedony, opal or other minerals. If it is hollow it can contain quartz crystals in the center, and is called a geode. So far as I know, these are solid. A friend of mine received these in error while buying obsidian from an online vendor. He sawed one of them in slabs, and it was solid. These are often cut in half with the cut face polished, I prefer to polish the entire stone. This "egg" is only roughly polished. Approximately 2.2 inches in diameter, 7.8 ounces. 14-12
