Description: WW1 AEF Brodie 42nd Rainbow Division helmet with 5 campaign and overseas marking. Unfortunately no liner but a great helmet. I was told that it was painted aboard ship on the way home from France. The gentleman that I got the helmet from has had it since he was a kid. He got the hemet from Maruquerite E Burroughs. Burroughs was her second husband. She was married the first time to Earle Meadows a 1936 Olympics Gold medal winner. Her maiden name is Caswell. The helmet was told by her second husband that it belonged to her father and I found him (Clyde Philander Caswell) but he did not serve in WW1.
