Description: WWII US Army M3 Leather Shoulder Holster for Colt M1911A1 45acp Pistol - Marked: US BOYT 1943 - Excellent Condition Up for sale is a WWII US Army M3 Leather Shoulder Holster for the Colt M1911/M1911A1 Pistol. This holster is used, see photo's for Condition. The leather is soft and supple. All of the stitching is intact and not fraying. The holster has darkened somewhat with age, but still retains most of it's rich russet brown color. No rips or tears in the leather. It is marked "US BOYT 1943" on the rear, the markings are clear and readable. All the snaps and fasteners are in good functional condition. The shoulder strap has some minor wrinkling and a few minor surface cracks. This holster shows very little evidence of prior usage. Mostly storage and handling wear. Evidence of re-stitching around the snap area. These holsters were used by officers, tank crews, pilots and aircrews during WWII to carry the Colt M1911 or M1911A1 .45acp Pistol.
